Everbearing Strawberry 'Tristar', Strawberry 'Tristar'
A popular variety, Fragaria x ananassa ‘Tristar’ (Everbearing Strawberry) is a day neutral variety. It is not affected by day length, allowing for continuous fruiting from late spring until first frost – anytime temperatures range between 35-85ºF (0-29ºC). Five-petaled white flowers adorned with yellow centers give way to firm, medium-sized, glossy red, very sweet berries. May remain evergreen in frost-free areas.
A strawberry patch is ravishing with its small mounds of fresh, green, pleated leaves which hide dangling, ruby-red fruits begging to be picked and enjoyed. This Everbearing Strawberry can be successfully grown in a container too. Excellent for pie, fresh eating and jams.
