Chinese Redbud 'Don Egolf'
Free-flowering, award-winning Cercis chinensis ‘Don Egolf’ (Chinese Redbud) is a slow-growing, compact, deciduous shrub or small tree with profuse, densely-clustered, tiny, rosy-mauve flowers that arise before the foliage in spring. The cheerful blossoms literally cover the tree in a spectacular floral display. They last for several weeks before being joined by large, heart-shaped, glossy green leaves. Don Egolf is a sterile cultivar and does not produce seed pods, preserving a neat, clean look all year. This graceful tree enjoys excellent disease resistance and is perfect for small gardens.
