Pointed-Petal Fritillary
Native to Cyprus, Fritillaria acmopetala (Pointed-Petal Fritillary) is a bulbous perennial with up to 1-2 nodding, pale green, broadly bell-shaped flowers per stem, streaked with rich maroon and reflex at the tip. Blooming in mid to late spring, the eye-catching flowers are complimented by narrowly, lance-shaped, scattered, green leaves. A tolerant species suitable for a sunny border or rock garden. An unexpected green beauty for the container where the subtle charm of the dangling flowers can be appreciated up close.
