Illuminating the late spring and early summer garden, Trollius x cultorum ‘Superbus’ (Globe Flower) is an upright herbaceous perennial with attractive, long-stemmed, bowl-shaped, lemon-yellow flowers, 2 in. across (5 cm), resembling double buttercups. Borne on erect stalks, the elegant blooms rise above a clump of deeply divided, toothed, rich green leaves. This perennial thrives in damp environments where it brings cheerfully its brightly colored blossoms. Spectacular in mass plantings!
