Noted for its small size and attractive evergreen foliage, Ophiopogon japonicus ‘Nana’ is a dwarf Mondo Grass forming dense tufts of arching, strap-shaped, dark green leaves. Racemes of insignificant white flowers emerge amid the leaves in summer before giving way to blue berries. Reminiscent of Liriope, this popular evergreen grass is tough, durable, very compact and perfect for adding texture to the garden. Dwarf Mondo Grass makes a low-care, no-mow lawn that can withstand moderate, regular foot traffic. Quite pleasing to the senses as it ripples in the wind, this dwarf Mondo Grass is perfect for planting between stepping stones, in small areas around patios and courtyards or in Asian gardens.
