Crabapple 'Snowdrift', Crab Apple 'Snowdrift'
Malus ‘Snowdrift’ is an upright, broad-rounded deciduous tree with a long season of interest. Opening from red buds, a profusion of slightly fragrant, pure white flowers appear in mid-late spring. Draped in clusters along the branches, they are a sight to behold. The stunning blossoms are followed by abundant orange-red fruits, 3/8 in. (1 cm), persist through the winter if birds do not feast on them. Equally attractive, the foliage of glossy green summer leaves turns golden-yellow in the fall. A splendid small ornamental tree for the landscape.
